From Bailen’s City Council a series of activities has been organized, so that everyone that decides to visit the city may enjoy the napoleonic era and go all the way back to july of 1808, moment when the historic battle where the invincible napoleonic troops were defeated took place.<\/p>\n
In addition to the re-enactment itself, main activity of the event, a wide range of activities have been organized. The Independence Market, where you may acquire handcrafted products, enjoy the gastronomy of the time, be it in the market\u2019s tavern or the various establishments in the city. Dancing and theater performances, tours around the most iconic and interesting places of both the city and related to the battle, either by foot or sightseeing train. The skirmish on the streets where the french and spanish troops will come face to face, as well as parades and the re-enactment itself.<\/p>\n
Some of these activities have limited capacity, and as such acquiring the tickets in advance is recommended. They may be acquired in the Museum of the Battle of Bail\u00e9n, as well as in the mobile app \u201cAyuntamiento de Bail\u00e9n\u201d from Wednesday, 18th of September.<\/p>\n
