Fachada del Palacio Ducal

Fachada del Palacio Ducal

Of a Renaissance style, it is the only remains left of what was once the Castle-Fortress of Bailén, linked to the Ponce de León or Condestable Iranzo families, among others. The Napoleonic occupation of 1810 resulted in its deterioration until it was ultimately demolished in 1970 because of its ruinous state. Rebuilt and moved to its original spot, today this is the location of the Tourist Information Office, next to the Ermita de Nuestro Padre Jesús (Hermitage of Our Father Jesus).
