Cerro de las trincheras (Trenches Hill)

This route runs through the central part of Monte Burguillos among the meadow oak groves and granite boulders, intruding into the natural richness of the Sierra Morena. It passes by parts of the farm on which the shepherd shelters the sheep, reaching Las trincheras hill as the final point on the route. Old trenches from the Civil War appear before your eyes. They were constructed in a strategic location during the Spanish civil war by the republican side. From there, you can see other points of interest in the countryside, such as other defensive constructions which were built during the course of the above war.
