De las canteras (The quarries route)

The walk begins in the direction of the Arroyo de Mirabelas (the Mirabelas stream), where you will find the late-Roman settlement of the same name and a number of other structures spread across the surroundings. Continue to the location known as the Chaparralillo (Little chaparral) to visit a sandstone road. From here, head towards a spectacular granite road in the area known as Piedra Caballera (Horseman’s Stone), on which there are the marks made by the technology that was used to extract the stone blocks. Before this, you will pass by a lime kiln in the area of Barranco del Tío Luis, where you can also see various sandstone roads. Return to the start point from the granite road.
